The Referral Program might sound complicated on the surface, but it’s actually pretty easy to understand. It’s simply a way to invite new players - or bring back the old ones - in a way that benefits both newcomers and veterans alike.
To get the most out of the Referral Program, the Commander and the Recruit must work together for some time. Specifically, they must complete six stages and gain 1500 Points - 250 points per stage - to complete the Referral Campaign and get the most valuable rewards. Though getting these points isn’t hard, the players must achieve specific objectives while playing regular matches.
Some objectives require the participation of both parties, though most can be completed by the Recruit alone. To get the Referral Points, the players must win matches, cause a certain amount of damage, earn selected awards/medals, and complete given secondary objectives. It’s also essential that the recruit and commander rank in the top 12 on their team by base XP earned.
It’s worth noting that you can only earn 100 Referral Points per day at max.
First, the player, eligible to become a Commander (had over 600 matches in the game), has to send a link to the potential Recruit. Once the Recruit accepts the invitation and completes the quick registration and/or confirmation process, the Referral Program is already active.
Both players will be given the objectives required to progress and complete the Referral Campaign. Most missions can be completed by Recruit alone; however, the Commander gets a set of boosts and bonuses when playing with their Recruit, even when their participation isn’t necessary.
The players receive rewards for completing each stage of the Campaign, with the primary rewards waiting for them after completing all six. Once the Referral Campaign is completed, the Contract between the two players ends.
Cooperation of the Commander and Recruit is an integral part of the Referral Program, as it provides the new player with a mentor to guide them through the early hours of the game, while the veteran player gets a trustworthy friend to play with. However, the game ensures to reward the players for their cooperation appropriately.
The Commander receives +50% to XP and +50% to credits when playing with their Recruit. And the Recruits receive +50% to XP and +50% to credits when playing solo and +100% to XP and +100% to credits playing with the Commander.
But the rewards don’t end there! The players are rewarded for completing the Referral Campaign’s six stages. They can get bonds, camo, inscriptions, credits, days of Premium Account, medals, and emblems, among other things. For completion of the sixth and final stage, each player also gets to choose and take one of the Premium Tanks from the following lists. The players can also choose a generous credit compensation if none of the tanks is up to their tastes.
Recruit tanks:
VI | T-34-85M |
---|---|
VI | Škoda T 40 |
VI | Tiger 131 |
VII | SU-122-44 |
VII | VK 45.03 |
Commander tanks:
VIII | STA-2 |
---|---|
VIII | T-54 First Prototype |
VIII | T26E5 |
VIII | T92 |
VIII | VK 168.01(P) |
Finally, it’s worth mentioning that breaking the Referral Contract prematurely is very much possible. This decision cannot be undone, and the players will lose all the progress they have made so far. However, they would still keep all the rewards already earned.
While the requirements for the Referral Program became softer over time, there are still certain conditions both players have to meet.
Commander (the invitee) must’ve participated in at least 600 battles. Recruit (the invited) must’ve participated in less than 200 battles, haven’t played for the last 60 days, don’t currently participate in the Referral Program with another player, and haven’t done it before either as Commander or as a Recruit. Commander and Recruit must also have active WoT accounts, not suspended or pending deletion.
Meanwhile, the requirement process itself is pretty straightforward. The player can send an invitation from the game’s official site or via a social media link. And all the other player has to do is click the link and either create a new account or log into an existing one.
