Any experienced WoW player will tell you that there’s two primary ways to level up fast: running dungeons and completing quests. For players new to WoW, quests are an obvious choice: you get to experience unique stories, meet all kings of characters and naturally explore the whole game world, getting properly accustomed and immersed into the world of Azeroth. However, for experienced players returning to the game or simply leveling another character, dungeons should be significantly faster. Of course, leveling up with a group of strong players would be even better, as you’d be able to complete missions that reward more experience.
Following leveling guides, leveling to level 60 takes at least 5 days of play time, or about 120 hours. Leveling without a guide can take weeks of pure gametime, around 200-300 hours. And if you’re casually playing only about a dozen hours a week, leveling can take months. As cruel as it may seem, you won’t level up fast without dedicating a significant amount of time. But not many people have so much time to spend, even if they wanted to. Which is where Overgear and our dedicated boosters come for the rescue!
Indeed, leveling in Classic Era is quite harder than in the retail version of the game. The short answer would be to say that each individual kill and quest just give less exp overall, while every level requires more exp than you might be used to in retail. There’s also the fact that Classic has less activities for players to level up through in general. But there’s actually much more nuances at play.
The combat and adventuring themselves were quite different in the old days, as even a single enemy would pose a serious threat to the player. The combat was much more deliberate and players would often have to prepare before each fight, as well as recover afterwards, with skills and food. Overall, both in numbers and in player experience, leveling in Classic Era takes much more time and effort than later expansions of the game.
The topic is highly debatable, but the general consensus seems to be that the Hunter class might be your best option for solo leveling in WoW. They can dish out a great amount of damage and have a lot of utility abilities, all the while they can keep their distance from enemies thanks to their pets and long-range attacks. The class is also famous for being quite the gold-maker, which undoubtedly helps leveling up even faster.
And yet, leveling would still take you a considerable amount of dedicated game time. No need to limit yourself to a single class just because you want to enjoy the endgame as fast as possible. With Overgear’s boosters, you can enter the raids as any class you desire in no time!
It’s certainly possible to level in WoW Classic on your own, at least to some degree. Most of the open world activities can be done solo, as long as you stay within appropriately leveled zones. In fact, the game almost expects you to be on your own when you’re just starting the game, as you're supposed to be doing quests and slowly building up your character, while you’re getting acquainted with the game world. That being said, leveling alone is certainly slower than doing so in a team and some activities, such as Dungeons, Raids and Battlegrounds pretty much demand players to play with a dedicated group or at least temporarily form one with other players.
